Assignment 4 Research

Assignment 4
Research

Above is the image I have chosen to work with for assignment 4. I am inspired by the heart glasses and want to work with the shape and colour of the glasses to enhance the photo. The ghost aesthetic is fun and gives me lots of room to be fun and whimsical. The glasses remind me of doodling in journals and diaries back in my childhood. I think of movies and TV shows I watched about girlhood.

For this project, I will be using a 2000s scrapbook aesthetic to enhance the image that I have chosen. More specifically, I am taking inspiration from movies I grew up with such as Mean Girls and their iconic Burn Book and Lizzie McGuire's diary from The Lizzie McGuire Movie.

I'm want to work with a combination of colour and black + white versions of my chosen image to give me more opportunity to be creative with my enhancements.

I imagine using posca pens to doodle on the image I have chosen, and I also want to experiment with scrapbook material such as stickers, collected items, found material, and/or scrap paper.
