For my final project, I would like to experiment with binding untraditional materials. I am inspired by an artwork that was presented to me in my first year of university called "O'Canada" by Joyce Wieland.  Wieland’s O Canada (1970) is a conceptual artwork in which she repeatedly pressed her lips, covered in red lipstick, onto a canvas while singing the Canadian national anthem, O Canada.

Similar to Wieland's work, I'd like to use lipstick as my content. I have 20+ different lipstick colours from the cosmetology classes I used to take in highschool. So this would be a fun way to get some use out of those lipstick tubes. I will test the materials and experiment with binding techniques to see what methods work best with the content.
